Nail polish plays an important role in enhancing the overall personality of a woman. While there are a number of different nail polishing methods available, we recommend using dip nail polish for the amazing results it shows.

Let’s have a look at how to apply dip nail polish in the right way:

  1. Groom and Sanitize Your Hands First

There should be no traces of previous nail polish on your nail before you apply dip nail polish so use a nail polish remover (non-acetone) to wipe it clean.

Grab a cuticle pusher and gently push the cuticles back. After that, with the help of a cuticle trimmer, make sure that you remove any extra cuticles so that it doesn’t affect your nail growth.

Soak a lint-free pad in alcohol and sanitize your nails.

Rub it gently around the outline of your nails and even the underside. This removes any bacteria that’s residing inside the nail.

  1. Applying the Pro Base

Apply the pro base but make sure you do it gently and with small strokes.

Cover the entire nail including the base of the nail.

Wait for a minute and then move to the next finger nail and repeat the process.

  1. Dip the Nail into The Powder Container

Dip your finger inside in a scooping motion for 5 seconds at least. The time required depends on the nail polish you use. For example, Revel Nail products only require five seconds, but some may require more.

Take it out and give a slight tap on your finger to get rid of excess powder on the nail, make sure you do it with the other hand which is not in use.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 twice on each nail.

  1. Applying the Activator

The next step involves applying the activator on all the fingers coated with powder in the previous step.

After doing this, again apply a base coat on each nail and wipe it clean with a lint-free pad, give it a 5 second break before giving it another coat.

Make sure to use a clean brush and to take care of the base, edges and caps of the nails of each finger.

  1. File and Buff the Nails Properly

Using a soft 240 or 180 grit files, shape your nails.

You can also use a buffer to buff your nails and give it a smooth look.

Soak the lint-free pad into nail cleanser and gently wipe the nails gently.

Use a drill if there’s excess amount of powder in the cuticle area.

  1. Final Touches

Apply another coat of activator on all the nail and leave them to dry for 2 minutes at least to have a bright shine on each nail.

Apply the top coat and let it stay for 2 minutes, following with cuticle oil around the skin near the nails.

Dry your hands completely and then wash them with water.

While washing the nails, make sure you go underneath the tips and get them cleaned too.

Verdict

This is how easy it is to apply dip nail polish as it only takes a few minutes to give your nails the look that you desire.
