That’s not a lie, first impressions are really important. First impressions greatly affect people’s long-term judgment of us. Well dressed men are more likely to be accepted into a company than shady individuals who don’t shave when they apply for a job, we all know this fact.
Well Dressed and Well-Developed Part
But what is rarely forgotten is not the “well dressed” part, but the “well-developed” part. Confused? Initially I too. A friend who is older and wiser than I ever mentioned something that made me think. People are attracted to different individuals. This is also something emphasized by actor Neil Patrick Harris. At first, I thought to myself, how different should I be able to attract people? He gave me the answer, “You must be unique, be different, be who you are, in every possible way.”
The answer sounds corny, I’ve heard that a million times at the foot of the pages of my notebook, my coffee cup, and the quote is almost everywhere, so I ignored it at first. Then I realized that the people around me who were very friendly were very unique. They are unique in many ways, the way they dress, talk, express their opinions, handle things, and so on. It seems like they have their own style.
More People Who Socialize are Superior
We may have realized that people who like to socialize always get an edge in life. That fact does not make us all jealous, but it serves as a way for us to improve ourselves, to continue to develop ourselves so that we can unlock better potentials that we may not have realized. You can ignore this, but the fact that communicating with others helps us find out more about ourselves. As we communicate ideas, plans, and suggestions, we begin to realize that we actually have more to offer. This is why more people who socialize are superior because they communicate so much and explore their own potential.
Change is frightening
People are rarely affiliated as a cause when things go bad, both in business and life in general, and this is one of the mistakes we make, ignoring our own personalities and interests. We get too caught up in things and forget to focus on developing ourselves, and as a result, things around us start to decline. We want to prevent this from happening, right? That’s why we better start rebuilding ourselves, being unique in the way we do things, in the way we think, the way we talk, the way we dress. All the time spent developing and innovating is the best investment of all.
